A little more about me.

My name is Joyce and I am a product designer based in Chicago. I earned my bachelor's degree in Psychology at Knox College. After graduation, I moved to South Korea for five years where I found myself working in content editing, copywriting, and digital marketing. Helping brands create an online presence and effectively engage with their users prompted me to start thinking about other ways I could blend my penchant for creativity with my interest in human behavior.

One of the reasons that I like UX design is talking to people. I love finding patterns in behavior and am naturally curious about the why behind what people do. It's such a good feeling when you know that a product was truly made with its consumers in mind. I don't know about you, but when I see a product made with excellence, I am quite moved. I think it's because I feel so understood - and I just want to create that same experience for others.
